My name is Salvatore Pavone, I am the chef and the owner of SABBAGATA restaurant. I have been cooking since I started working in little restaurants when I was a kid, learning everything I needed by practice, nearly thirty years ago. I grew up in a little village in Messina (called Zafferia). 

In 1992, I was 13 years old when I went to high school in Giardini Naxos, at 14 years old I have already worked in restaurants near home. 

At 23 years old I opened my first restaurant, then the second one, and with them did prizes and certificates arrive. Although I felt it was not enough: so my family and I have moved to Malta, pushed by the idea to bring them by a little city into a metropolitan environment. In 2015 I opened my third e then my fourth restaurant with the name of “L’ORSO”. 

In 2020 my daughter Ginevra was born, in the same way “SABBAGATA” restaurant took shape. Nowadays my wife, my Staff and I run the restaurant, they help me to make my ever-have dream come true: cooking!
